Hyderabad to have Integrated Master Plan Soon

Hyderabad is getting its integrated master plan soon in a month after approval from Telangana State Government, being given final touches by Hyderabad Metropolitan Region (HMR). HMDA is yet to get approval after which it will be made public.

HMDA after much analysis about mapping factors could help Hyderabad town planning much more effective in bringing uniformity  in zoning and land use stipulations. Before embarking on the project of the master plan it involved all the best expert people, urban town planners, stakeholders and developers.
“The draft master plan will soon be released after getting clearance from the state government. Citizens have been given a month to submit objections and suggestions on the draft plan for making changes and rectifications,” told HMDA metropolitan commissioner T Chiranjeevulu.

The HMDA officials felt the need after facing much difficulties in granting permissions to new projects as different zones had different rules and regulations, which were proving to be hindrance in granting permisssions in a short duration. Now with the integrated master map the different zoning regulations will be much more transparent and easily accessible.  HMDA wants to get different zoning regulations on one single Integrated master plan which will be accessible to every citizen and help him understand the land category and earmarked usage with a single click of a button on the web.

The state government wanted to categorize different areas for major projects such as Hyderabad-warangal industrial corridor and IT investment corridor, Pharma and Bulk drugs areas and specifically no development areas and suggested to HMDA to come with a integrated master plant and  which can double up as a great resource for disaster management.
