Overview
The B M Birla Science Museum Hyderabad was the second phase of the center opened in 1990. Birla Science Museum Hyderabad is a unique museum as also an archaelogy and Fine Arts Section. the scinece Museum has also received an equally good response and rating. It showcases Indian Own achievement in science, in collaboration with Government of India departments like the department of Ocean Development and the indian Space Research Organization.
The Dinosaurium was the next phase of the Centre. A unique Natrual History Gallery, the dinosaurium was dedicated to the Nation in July 2000. it is a truly breathtaking facility which displays a rare and magnificent fossil of the Dinosaur, Kotasaurus, belong to the lower Jurassic age, going back to about 160 millions years. It is one of the finest specimens anywhere in the world. It has been put up in a natural and dynamic posture and measures. About fourteen metres in length and over five metres in height. The fossils were collected from Yamanpalli in Adilabad distric of Telangana and then mounted by Geological survey of Inda. Apart from this unique fossil of the majestic animal which once ruled the earth, there are equally important fossil specimens going back to the same era,
