The chowmohalla Palace complex is a study in architectural wonder and regal splendor. Once the seat of the Asaf Jahis, it is a replica of the Shah’s Palaces in Tehran, Iran. Nizam Salabat Jung is credited with Initiating the construction of the palace in 1750. It was completed during the period of the fifth Nizam Nawab Afzal-ud-Dowla Bahadur, Thanks to unceasing effeorts of successive Nizams. The Chowmohalla Palace orginally spread over 45 acres, signifies four palaces named Afzal mahal, mahtab mhal, Tahniyat mahal and Aftab Mahal. It was the venue of state receptions hosted by the Nizam. Today, the palace, following a makeover, reverberates with cultural programmes and business gatherings amids a regal atmosphere.
