Originally the Residency House, was constructed in 1860 by Nizam Nazir ud Dowla. Later it was used by British Resident at secunderabad. After Hyderabad annexation by Indian Union Rashtrapati Nilayam was used as Presidents retreat and used as south sojourn. The single stories structure has 16 rooms is spread over 89 acres. It has visitors quarters that can accommodate 150 people.
