Spanish Masjid, Iqbal Ud Dowla Masjid

Believed to be a copy of a similar mosque in spain, was built by paigah noble Iqbal Ud dowla after his visit to famous Cordoba Mosque in spain. It is believed that was the inspiration behind building this pointed dome mosque. The mosque is also known by the local Muslim community as Masjid Iqbal Ud Daula, Masjid Aiwan-e-begumpet. It can accommodate 3000 worshipers at once. The Spanish Mosque is very well known and is considered as a landmark mosque for the community.

As this is a functioning mosque visitors are advised to follow dress code. The mosque is bang opposite Old Hyderabad Airport/ Begumpet Airport.
